The Roanoke & Salem Charms are an exclusive, trademarked AmRhein’s creation, highlighting landmarks of the Roanoke Valley. The charms are produced by AmRhein’s in limited quantities — 500 in 14-karat gold and 500 in sterling silver. After a particular charm is sold out, it is either discontinued or redesigned.

When the charms were first introduced in 2000, there were only 10 Roanoke charms and five Salem charms. Due to popularity, there are now over 75 charms in the series, with new charms released each holiday season.
